Johanna Olk
The idea behind this collaboration is to valorize the body over the product. Johanna Olk decided to draw women that are very confident feeling comfortable in their underwear.
Interview with Johanna Olk
Painter and tattoo artist living in Guethary, southwest of France, @johanna.olk
Describe in three words:
Your generation: feminine, connected, hopeful
Your world: scary, changing and more open-minded
Your inspiration: women, their life, and the lines of their body
Your struggles: accepting my body, using colors in my paintings, walking my dog three times a day
How do you imagine the future ?
I would love people to be more open-minded, happy in their life and in their body. Making more responsible, ecological and healthier life choices would be a good start.
How do you overthrow convention?
I overthrow convention because I’m a tattoo artist so the lines of my paintings also live in people skins. This is important to me because one of my drawings can help them to like their body and feel more confident about their skin, the way they move, the way they live. It is very important to me.
